Is it always darkest before the dawn ?

7 Nov

I know I often come off as acerbic with a negative view of Japan. Its with good reason because of a series of errors; from Abenomics, to TEPCO. A broken foreign policy to a healthy dose of denial.

However I want to draw your attention to a very important step in the right direction by TEPCO. After over 2 1/2 YEARS they are finally ready to implement the removal of the fuel rods from Reactor #4. Currently there are over 1500 rods stored in the pool in building #4 that must be removed.

I hope you will join me in wishing the entire removal team the bestest of wishes. Its going to be a long and dangerous operation. It should have been started years ago, but at least they are moving forward with the mission now.

Good luck to everyone involved in the fuel rod removal program !
